18 seconds, vertical 9:16, 480p, four shots: the three singers, the big laugh, the sax solo and the trio again. $8.99, or less in packs.
Put 1 to 5 of your friends in the “Outstanding” desk concert: three singers at the desk, the lead singer’s big laugh, the sax solo. Your own Tiny Desk AI video, made from your photos.
Every spot starts with our house band. Tap Change on the spots you want to fill with your own photo (at least one): one person per photo, a clear face toward the camera is enough. JPG, PNG or WebP, at least 300 × 300 px, up to 10 MB.
Before use, each photo is checked automatically (Amazon Rekognition) for nudity and to estimate whether the person is an adult. We don't keep any face data from this check.

Same rhythm as the meme, with your people in the band. The time is where each shot starts.
0:00.0The center singer on a stool with a fist in the air, the left and right singers standing behind, all in headphones, belting it out.
0:06.9Close-up: the lead singer sings a line, breaks into a big laugh, then sings again.
0:13.2The saxophone player, headphones on, leans into the solo.
0:15.6The three singers again, louder than ever.

Five spots: left, center and right singer, the lead singer and the saxophone. Upload a photo for any of them, from one to all five. The rest are played by our house band.

First we draw your band in a cramped office full of books and records, then turn it into an 18-second video. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes, and you can leave the page.

Your MP4 waits in My videos. Download it, then add the meme’s original “Outstanding” sound when you post, so the singing lines up with the lips.
Tiny Desk AI is a video meme from October 2026. It takes the moment from Charlie Wilson’s 2023 Tiny Desk concert where he sings The Gap Band’s 1982 hit “Outstanding”, and recasts the band with other people using AI. The first viral version, posted on TikTok on October 18, put that weekend’s losing college football coaches in the band.
Within a week people were putting their group chats, coworkers and fantasy league losers at the desk instead. That is what this tool does: your photos become the singers, the lead and the sax player.
Tiny Desk AI doesn’t host or share the original clip or recording. It makes a new video from your photos in the same cramped-office-concert style, and delivers it without sound so you can add the song when you post.
Five friends, five spots. Whoever always replies last gets the mic.
An office band for the team channel or someone’s last day, with everyone’s OK.
Fantasy football or the office pool: put this week’s loser at the mic.
Siblings, cousins, parents. Anyone who agrees to be in it.
Everyone in it has to agree. No public figures, no children. People only, pets are not supported yet.
One person per photo, facing the camera, face not covered. Phone photos are fine: at least 300 × 300 px, JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB.
BestA clear, front-facing face is all a band member needs.
BestAlso great. Your clothes come along into the band.
WorksWorks, but the face is small, so the close-ups have less to go on.
Not yetOne person per photo. Crop each friend out of a group shot first.

A meme where AI puts new people into Charlie Wilson’s Tiny Desk performance of “Outstanding”. This site makes your own version from your photos.
No. Tiny Desk AI is an unofficial fan tool and is not affiliated with NPR or Tiny Desk Concerts.
“Outstanding” by The Gap Band, from The Gap Band IV (1982), sung live by Charlie Wilson at his Tiny Desk concert in June 2023.
No, it comes without sound, for copyright reasons. On TikTok, open the viral Tiny Desk AI clip, tap its sound, choose Use this sound and pick your video. Keep the sound starting from the beginning, and don’t search the song library: the studio version won’t match the lips.
Between one and five. There are five spots (left, center and right singer, the lead singer and the saxophone) and you choose which ones get your photos. Any spot you leave alone is played by our house band.
No. Only people who agreed to be in the video. No public figures and no children.
An 18-second, vertical 9:16 MP4 in 480p (480 × 854), with no watermark and no sound, ready to post.
Usually 5 to 10 minutes. You can close the page: the video appears in My videos when it is ready.
Yes, in effect. Instead of a video-editor template, you upload 1 to 5 photos and get the 18-second vertical desk-concert video with your people in it. No editing app needed.
You can, but the singers’ lips are timed to the meme’s “Outstanding” sound, so another song (or the studio version) won’t line up.
